Our story
Built as the alternative to overpaying.
Alternate Supply started with a straightforward observation: businesses were paying more than they needed to for the industrial products they buy every month. Not because the products were better, but because their supply options were limited.
Over more than 20 years we built a global network of manufacturing and distribution partners — across North America, Europe and Asia — that lets us put quality product in front of buyers at prices the large distributors struggle to match. Today our primary focus is industrial gear oil, lubricant oils and diesel engine oil, supported by a broader catalog of fasteners, bitumen and asphalt products, electrical tape and cable ties, propane and general MRO supplies.
We operate out of Toronto, Ontario, and ship throughout Canada and the United States. Our customers are contractors, manufacturers, fleet operators, roofers and maintenance teams — people who need the right product, at the right price, when they said they needed it.
